Sylvia Hardin

Sylvia is attending the University of Central Arkansas pursuing BFA in Studio Art (Emphasis in Sculpture). She will Graduate in December of 2018. She is the original founder and President of the FEmale Foundry.

Artist Statement:

I use metal in various forms to capture wild animals in a fabricated and industrial medium while keeping the nature of the beasts wild and free. The entrapment of metal for my animal sculptures relates to the real life entrapment of wild animals forced to adapt to a rapidly growing industrial world.
